I m a g e M a p p i n g
This tutorial will show you how to image map and then how to save your image maps.
Step 1 Open up a image in Image Ready or If your working in Photoshop press the little ImageReady icon in the corner. This will open your image up on ImageReady for you.
Step 2 Go to the Image Map tool in the image ready toolbar.
Step 3There is a box on the screen and it says Animation/Image Maps/Slices , If you don't have that window you can open it by going to WINDOW-->IMAGE MAP .
Now check the image map tab.
Step 4 Now take the image map tool and drag it on your image. Make sure you select the part you want image mapped.
Step 5 Now in the Animation/Image Maps/Slices window you should be able to type in the image map tabs. Fill it out like this....
Url: This is where you want the image map to link to.
Target: This is only to be filled out if you want the link to open in a new window etc. If it's a blank page you want to open then put in blank Note that this is optional*
Alt: The text that will be displayed when hovered over. Note that this is optional*
Step 6 Now save it , go to FILE-->SAVE OPTIMIZED AS . Then save it as html and images.
Step 7 You have successfully created an image map!
